Jan Ryherd is a self-proclaimed weather nerd and has ample weather-themed jewelry and attire to prove it! She is a proud graduate of Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) and an American Meteorological Society's Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. From blizzards to tornadoes, she covered it all during her 8 years as a broadcast meteorologist- sometimes in the same day!! 

On air or off, she has always prioritized helping people understand the world of weather around them. While in TV, you could often find Jan at STEM fairs or visiting local classrooms. She even developed a stand alone weather showcase to make weather education more accessible across the market, partnering with area first responders and STEM businesses. She prides herself on championing women in STEM and encouraging young learners to remain curious and pursue their dreams. 

Kaj O'Mara brings many layers of weathered experience in meteorology, especially in the world of broadcast weather. He holds dual certifications from the American Meteorological Society in both broadcasting and consulting and is as down-to-earth as they come. A self-proclaimed coffee guzzler (seriously, recommend a local shop and he’s probably already been there - so, let's go again!), Kaj is always up for a good weather chat—anytime, anywhere.

One of his favorite career memories is visiting hundreds of classrooms and connecting with students—those moments still stand out and fuels the inner teacher. He also shares his passion for weather through his educational website, kajthecloudguy.com, which is all about making weather fun and understandable for K–12 students and adults alike.
